Sandpiper was stored inside a warehouse from 2008 to 2018 when she was purchased at Rouses Point, New York near the Canadian border. She sailed down Lake Champlain to the Champlain Canal system and onto the New York canal system. She sailed down the Hudson River past New York City and offshore in the Atlantic to New Jersey. She was on the hard for the Winter and later trucked to Clear Lake, TX. She has been on Watergate Marina ever since.
